Phone Call

Holy crap, I sat down to attempt to draw Jervis tonight, and it turned into this! First try tonight, ladies and gentlemen! Baby, I am BACK!

*ahem* So, I've had an idea in my head for a while now. The thought is that Jonathan is supposed to be getting an important phone call and tries to shoo Jervis away, telling him he'd find a way to mess things up. Well, Jervis gets angry, but doesn't want to disappoint.

The phone rings, and Jervis snatches up the phone. He opens his mouth and proceeds to shout Lewis Carroll into the receiver.

I found it funny. I was going to turn it into a drabble, but I never got around to writing it. Then I was going to try to do a short comic, but every sketch I did of Jervis looked like he'd been beaten in the face with a sledge hammer.

I am really pleased, considering how long it's been since I've drawn either of them. Yes, it hasn't been like years or something, but I've been in such a funk. They are drawn by hand but darkened a little in Photoshop. The text was also added in Photoshop.

...it almost reminds me of that scene in "Elf."

I decided to add a little bit of grey in the background so the characters would stand out a little more.
